The estate of Dr. Merrill P. Spencer listed for sale a two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo Unit #2602 at 2000 1st Ave. in Downtown Seattle for $2.875 million.
Scott Goodrich of RE/MAX Northwest Realtors is the listing agent for the home. The 2,391-square-foot condo Unit #2602 was built in 1994 is in the Downtown subdivision.
Dr. Spencer was the co-founder of Spencer Technologies Inc. and earlier the Pacific Vascular Inc. He also co-founded the Institute of Applied Physiology and Medicine in Seattle.
He served as director of the Virginia Mason Research Center, and as an associate professor of physiology and pharmacology at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Earlier, he was a flight surgeon in the U.S. Army Air Corps after World War II.
He received his D.O. in 1945 from Baylor University in Houston and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and his fellowship at the Western Reserve Hospital in Cleveland.
He died in July 2006.
The condo is in the One Pacific Tower, which has 80 units on 27 floors.
According to BlockShopper.com, there have been four home sales in Downtown during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.0375 million.
